This handsome guy in the photo is soon to turn 3 years old and was named Benji Bear by our son. I will admit he does look like a little bear. His mom is a German Shepherd and his dad is an Australian Shepherd and he came to us via Birmingham, Alabama from a friend my husband worked with. It seems as though Benji Bear’s parents got friendly at a family BBQ and well, that was that. They were looking for good homes so we met in Atlanta, Georgia and brought him home to Charleston, SC where he joined our then 12 year old rescue from the streets of Los Angeles, Bella. I can’t say it was love at first site for Bella, but it certainly is now. They’ve totally fallen in love with each other and she’s helped us train the Bear.
Benji Bear is an awesome dog and really has the best qualities of both breeds. He’s super protective of our family, loyal, loving, athletic, and an amazing herder but at times can be a little too protective of the door. It’s like he sees red and can’t back down even when you’re telling him it’s OK. We’ve been working on this and of course it takes time. I’ve had visions of the Dog Whisperer, even asking myself, what would Cesar do?
Kim wanted to go digital for their training facility in CA where they hold many different levels of classes ranging from training pups to all ages of dogs.
So, when Kim Glass, Director of Operations from Cesar Millan’s Dog Psychology Center reached out about incorporating online digital waivers, I was thrilled. It brought back tons of memories of watching “The Dog Whisperer” on Saturday mornings and just being amazed at the changes Cesar was able to make with dogs. His confidence, his patience and his overall ability to connect with canine companions always amazes me. Kim wanted to go digital for their training facility in CA where they hold many different levels of classes ranging from training pups to all ages of dogs. People travel from all over the world to attend classes with Cesar Millan and his team, so going to a digital waiver format was really important for Kim. She wanted to be able to send a waiver link in their confirmation emails and then have students sign at any time. They also wanted to be able to organize waivers in a simple way. With WaiverSign it’s as simple as looking up an digital waivers by first and last name and then it’s viewable via a pdf. The person signing the waiver also gets a copy that is date and time stamped.
We’re thrilled to work with them and look forward to having WaiverSign help them manage their classes and events. There really is nothing like the relationship and bond between humans and dogs. Although Benji Bear still has a lot of work to do, we continue to work with him and give him tons of love each day. If we ever find ourselves in Cali with him then we’ll certainly look into a class at The Dog Psychology Center. I’m sure we would be amazed at what we would learn.
